“ A hidden gem tucked off on a side street. It may be the best meal we've had yet in Japan. The menu is entirely in Japanese, but the staff do know a little English. If you have the Google Translate app on your phone, it does a good job with the menu, which we found helpful. We had no difficulty ordering, despite only knowing minimal Japanese. The food itself was fantastic; quite possibly the best we've had since arriving in Japan. We started with the specialty platter, which featured a few slices of 3 different cuts, and some sides. We were so impressed, we placed a second order for more beef after that. Credit cards are accepted, and the language barrier wasn't a problem for us, but we did have Google's help with the menu. ”
“ This was one of the best experiences ive ever had with any resturant. If i could put more stars i would. The service was superb felt like home. And the food was so delicious i ordered few types of tongues. And the spicy ramen ( forgot the actual name) prices were good and everything went perfect. This is a family runned resturant and its very welcoming and family friendly ( i was with my kids) ”
“ We were rly lucky to find this hole-in-the-wall while looking for a place with the famous Sendai beef tongue. It’s just off the main street, up the stairs with a sign that says Yakiniku House. The owners are super friendly — an elderly couple, the husband showed us in. He could tell it was our first time grilling beef tongue (we can’t speak any Japanese) so he gave us local recommendations and happily walked us through the grilling of at least 3 plates of beef. We mostly conversed in hand gestures and pointing since he didn’t speak much English either, but the vibe was still super happy and friendly! I wish I could give 6+ stars, the food was delicious and the owners are amazing! Definitely get a few orders of the極上タン (we loved it so much we had to order 2 more) with a side of rice and a glass of Sapporo . If we’re ever in Sendai again I’m definitely coming back here! ”
“ I love it! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. It's a family business, and the owner is very friendly and he knows a lot about meat! Great for lunch or dinner! 全部美味しいし封印気もいいしおすすめです! ”
“ Amazing yakiniku restaurant. Family operated and helped us heavily for our first experience. Language barrier was not a problem. A big local feel compared to other places along the street. ”
“ Nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. The staff will help and advise you about your cooking techniques. Great quality food! ”
“ It was an enjoyable meal. The owner was passionate about his craft, guiding us on the right way to grill the cuts of meat. The price is worth it for the quality of the meat. ”
“ As mentioned by other English reviews, the atmosphere is among the best. Couldn’t praise this place enough, I had a Sendai beef lunch here btw. ”
